Janelle is a Medical Herbalist who provides in-depth health consultations for patients. After the consultation, an individually tailored herbal medicine treatment plan is prescribed to promote wellness and prevent or treat disease within the body.
In 2016, Janelle graduated with honors from a three-year Western Herbal Medicine program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC. This intensive program is currently one of the most comprehensive trainings of Western Herbal Medicine available in North America. Here she received extensive training in the biomedical sciences, western herbal sciences, nutrition, herbal energetics, herbal medicine production and Ayurveda. Her training included the study and therapeutic application of over 170 medicinal plants from the European, Native American, Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine traditions. In her studies, Janelle has completed over 500 hours of clinical training where she learned clinical protocol, treatment etiquette, consultation and counselling skills, practical diagnostic techniques, and herbal therapeutic techniques.
