Twillingate Island - The Iceberg Capital
Twillingate Island is world known as the Iceberg Capital.
Twillingate Island is also the final destination on the scenic touring route "Road to the Isles" or Route 340, which ends at Long Point, Crow Head, North Twillingate Island.
Twillingate Island, New World Island, Change Islands and Fogo Island are the Isles of Notre Dame located within Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland Island.
To travel all four Isles of Notre Dame by sea would take you 360 degrees or “All Around the Circle“. The four isles are perfectly situated within Iceberg Alley.
Today, the Isles of Notre Dame can be travelled by a combination of road, causeway and ferry continuing to provide the 360 degree experience.
Visit the Isles to walk in footsteps of schooner captains and sing famous sea-faring songs of Outport fishermen.
