Fiona Walls' Biography
After several careers throughout Fiona Walls' lifetime, and an accumulation of many competitive as well as recreational athletic pursuits along the way, she discovered Pilates to be an addition to her many passions and paths.
Pilates helped Fiona obtain core strength, flexibility, endurance and optimal musculoskeletal performance after struggling many years with chronic lower back pain. She claims her chosen practice of Pilates was key to her rehabilitation.
With her belief in the many benefits and powers of Pilates she enjoys helping others to reach their personal health and fitness goals.
Fiona Walls was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In her early adult years she moved to British Columbia, Canada where she was to meet her future husband David Walls and where they raised their family of three children. After raising their family, Fiona and David moved from their farm on one of the Gulf Islands on the west coast of Canada, Salt Spring Island B.C. to the United Arab Emirates for a period of four years. During Fiona's time in the Middle East she studied and obtained her STOTT PILATES Certification in Dubai. She then held the position as the Pilates Instructor at the prestigious The Club Abu Dhabi for a period of one year, teaching classes as well as private and semi-private instruction. She and her husband have recently returned to Canada and have taken up residency in Kelowna. Adjusting to changes very quickly Fiona has made an appearance on stage with Kelowna Theatre Society in November 2015 and looks forward to many more theatre opportunities in the coming months and years. She can be also be seen on the tennis courts around town on fair weather days. Additionally she holds a BC real estate licence and is looking forward to branching out into the local Okanagan real estate industry in the near future.
