Hello, my name is Maizie! I am a 14 soon 15 year old average girl who lives in martensville. I am quiet and reserved. I love to listen and share. I love watching children be real, laugh and giggle with no reservations and no worries. Why can't life remain that way? Although I love animals and helping people, my true passion is inspiring other girls - and that's how Princess Parties by Maizie was founded. I don't need to be Cinderella to be a princess I can be my own kind of princess, and that's exactly what I'm doing. I want to spread the message to young girls: "I am me, I am unique, and I am beautiful just as I am." Being a princess to me isn't about the big dress, servants, and living in a beautiful castle. To me its about being gracious , courteous and polite to everyone I meet. It's about inspiring others with grace and dignity and always having a positive attitude. A princess should be loyal to their friends and sincere to their aquaintances. Above all, I believe the most important princess quality is to have confidence. We are all special and beautiful in our own way and we should embrace that and empower others around us to do the same.
This is my second business adventure. My first was Doggy Naps. I built and sold dog beds with every 3 beds sold one would go to a rescue facility I was able to donate over 400 beds! I ended Doggy Naps after my win at the Brett Wilson Dragons Den Pitch Party. At 13, I spoke in front of a crowd of roughly 700 business men and women, had a standing ovation and was told I stole the show. I decided to step away from Doggy Naps and end on a high note and focus on myself and what truly makes me,me. Princess parties by Maizie is more than just a birthday party it's about showing other girls that girls just like them can and are princesses too. My future goal for princess parties by Maizie is to hire and work with other local girls around my age with my same passion to be a princess to do good in our community and act as role models by lifting each other up and empowering other girls to do the same.
