With over 16 years experience David Riches leads up production on Wolverine’s Lumby location. From 1987-1990 Dave worked with Ken Clement of Clement Turf Farms. Ken continues to advise Wolverine and provides an excellent wealth of knowledge to our operation. David’s ingenuity drives him to push the envelope and develop new and innovative methods of farming and seed development. Through the years he has been responsible for building some of his own machinery in order to increase the quality and efficiency of the turf farm.

After 14 years of turf farming, David took the opportunity to work for a construction company where he oversaw the landscaping and lawn maintenance of new housing developments. He became quickly frustrated with the quality and consistency of the turf product his landscapers were receiving and learned firsthand the difficulties of relying on the farm for delivery. Suddenly he found himself thinking of farming again and how he could improve things for the landscaping contractors.

Now David is bringing his experience both in farming and landscaping and putting them to use in the founding of Wolverine Turf Farms.

Wolverine growing area is 300 acres. Currently 100 acres of top quality sod is in cultivation which can be delivered from Kelowna throughout the Okanagan. Serving Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops and the entire Okanagan.
