Windermere Cycling Society is a program ran by students; aimed towards providing the community with bike mechanics & bike awareness.
The Windermere Bike Society is to provide bicycle mechanical services to our community by donation, and educate community about bike mechanics and sustainable transportation. The after school program is led by senior students and teaches like minded students about cycling, bike mechanics, and sustainable & safe transportation. We are able to offer services at most community events in the East Vancouver area. The success of the program is based mainly on donations; we accept rags/cloths, bike parts, bikes, bike tools, and financial support! Contact Wsscteam(at)gmail.com for additional information or for any inquiries.
*We are a non-profit, all money goes towards the well being of the program and funds our supplies & tools.
*A big thanks to our donors and supporters: Ride On Again (Broadway), Our Community Bikes, J.Tenta, V.Castilho,
100% operated by senior students. We do have sponsor teachers to seldom hold free workshops open to the public. Almost all the time our operations are done outside at our big metal sea can -rain or shine. Our mechanical skills cover the basics as well as the advanced mechanisms of a bicycle, one out of four of our mechanics have commercial shop experience. Our range of service is unfortunately limited to the tools that we hold. We have the ability and tools to rebuild bikes from selecting custom components from ground up, but we do not carry bleed kits, stripped thread repair kits, highly specific/sophisticated/eccentric tools. We do our best using the existing resources we have!
