The Wallace & Area Museum houses an amazing collection of artifacts relating to local history of this Northern Nova Scotia community.
The museum houses over 6000 original artifacts from the Davison-Kennedy families, who built the original home here in 1839, and operated a shipyard here on the property.
The museum showcases all of its artifacts on a rotational basis - providing an opportunity for our visitors to come again and again, and have a new experience each time.
The museum also provides C@P Site facilities, a Visitor Information Centre, in addition to a gift shop. While visiting the museum, take in the Heritage Gardens adjacent to the museum, or perhaps take a stroll on one of the Wallace Museum Nature Trails.
Need a space to hold an event? The Murray Reeves Meeting Room at the Wallace & Area Museum is available for private functions. The staff at the Wallace & Area Museum will be happy to answer your questions.
