Remediation of learning disabilities that are related to vision skills problems, by combining vision therapy with reading strategies

Vision Tracking, Convergence, Saccades & Accommodation are assessed.
Handwriting & hand muscle function are assessed .
General motor coordination is also evaluated if seen as necessary from other elements of assessment.
Programs are then planned and a tutor (often the parent or spouse) trained in the specifc strategies for remediation.
Generally takes 6 weeks of therapy done 5 times per week. Initial assessments, progam planning, training of a tutor in each element of an individualized program,then further assessments every 2 weeks to adjust program elements and materials used until completion. Can see reading levels increased by 2-3 grade levels.
