Community space to share your photos and positive stories about the trails in Transcona.

More and more people are using the recreational trail system in Transcona every day, whether for rigorous exercise or a leisurely stroll with family and friends. As more neighbourhoods are being developed in Transcona, there will be even more opportunities for trails to be built, trees to be planted and benches to be added along the trails. Trail users can also expect to see better connections between our trails in the next two years due to construction projects already in progress.


Trails volunteers have also coordinated an “Adopt a Kilometre” program with local schools. Students and teachers throughout the community have adopted certain kilometres which they then keep clean and well-maintained.

The trail system would not be what it is today without these volunteers’ hard work. From organizing cleanups to tree planting, they do everything they can to ensure the trails remain clean, safe and beautiful.
