The Whispering Winds is Deroche’s pre-eminent retreat and event destination: a place to heal, celebrate, contemplate, or just get away from it all.

The Whispering Winds is located in a picturesque setting in Deroche BC. This Christian home provides nightly accommodations for individual and group stays. It is also available to facilitate daily workshops and training sessions.

This wonderful old 1930’s farm house on 40 acres is surrounded by God’s beauty, with views of mountains, forests and pastures. Enjoy the solitude of a quiet night’s sleep. Sit on the deck and view the majestic mountains or find a quiet place to visit in the gardens. For those more active, play a game of volleyball, pitch horseshoes or hike up to the prayer cabin that looks out over the valley.

Whatever your purpose you will find that this is a property set apart to honour God as a place of rest, prayer and intimacy with Him.

Our motto is to be built by the community for the community with a focus on providing employment skill training for women of trauma. We are developing a program to sponsor women in the community with opportunities to learn, grow and become successful in the community at large through our education, agriculture and arts program. Their on-site work experience will be seen in the active involved of the functions of The Whispering Winds.

Opportunities to be involved: Volunteering as an individual or as a group is a wonderful way to become a part of this site. Bring out the young adults and youth groups to an event with a purpose. There are on going projects and maintenance which makes this a wonderful way for groups to do a “close to home mission outreach”.
