Our life together at St. Paul is an expression of our love and delight for one another, for those who visit our church, and for those we encounter in our life of service. There’s nothing more stimulating than that EXCEPT for our desire to pursue Jesus and to seek to be known by Him.
We know so little about God. But what He has made known is treasured by us. We are banking our life now and for eternity on that. The little that God has made known we passionately pursue in our study, in our worship, in our life together.
St Paul is a place where we work “to abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that we may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ” (Philippians 1:9).
That stunning thought inspires us to work together in this church and to do it with a love and delight in people.
Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. (Psalm 115:1)
