St Marys BnB is a quiet countryside paradise on the banks of the St Marys River located between Kimberley and Cranbrook in the East Kootenays of B.C.
The St Marys Bed and Breakfast is new and described by Tourism B.C. as a "Jewel of the East Kootenays". The three bedrooms, common room and kitchen which comprise our BnB have a separate entrance from our home for your convenience and privacy. Each room and outdoor patio overlook the river with a pristine view of the water and the fields . Walk down the path and fish or dabble in the river as you please. View the osprey or eagles on their nests or catch a glimpse of a Red tailed hawk or the marmot. Deer wandering through the yard will entertain you also.
We have two rooms with a queen size bed and a single bed in each and one room with two double beds. Each room has a private shower/en-suite, reading chair and private bar fridge.
We have a gas BBQ and lounge chairs on the patio for your use and your choice of the fire circle near the BnB or a river side fire circle at our picnic area both with an ample supply of wood. You can stay connected with Wi-Fi if you have the time.
Your hosts, Doug and Dale Martin, are recently retired and look forward to welcoming you to our Bed and Breakfast. Doug grew up in Kimberley and is retired from 35 years as a Park Warden with Parks Canada in Banff and Waterton Lakes National Parks and Dale is retired from teaching. We look forward to sharing our interests in the outdoors and East Kootenay Valley. Doug is an avid fly fisher and skier and is happy to share his knowledge of the area, river and ski runs with you. We'll both strive to make your stay meaningful, relaxing and pleasant.
Let us link you to fly fishing, golfing, hiking, viewing wildlife, bird watching and relaxing as you choose. Enjoy: walk-n-wade or float fly fishing from your front door (we provide easy access to the river for launching boats or walking and provide vehicle shuttles). Relax by the river or our outdoor fire pits or walk/bike the paved Rails to Trails bike and fitness trail between Kimberley and Cranbrook.
We're located just minutes away from world renowned golf courses, the Kimberley Alpine Resort and the Canadian Rockies International Airport.
