Staircase Improv is the resident improv comedy troupe for The Staircase. Founded in 1998 Staircase Improv has been rocking Hamilton with shows and workshops ever since. Staircase Improv is composed of Hamilton’s most experienced and talented improvisers. Staircase Improv is ready to entertain and teach you. Catch one of our weekly shows, or workshops at The Staircase Theatre, or invite us to your place for a training session or show. The Staircase offers an Improv workshop called FUN-damentals. Weekly for beginners and drop-ins. Every Monday at 7pm till 9PM. Register at the front counter, first come, first signed in. Limited to 16 participants per class $10 each
An Advanced level Class runs Tuesday evenings from 7-10pm. This is a closed, more structured workshop that focuses on a developing higher level of improv and skill as well as, preparation for stage. You must obtain instructor approval before attending. You may speak to one of our lovely Bootcamp teachers about how your past (Second city, Bad Dog Theatre, Impatient Theatre etc) training will allow you to fit right in with us.
