At Southside Pet Clinic we are dedicated and passionate about the health and well-being of your pets!

Dr. Jim Brown, OVC 73, is pleased to announce that the Southside Pet Clinic, located at 14990 Simcoe Street in Port Perry, is now open!

In 1974, Dr. Brown began a small animal companion hospital in Prince Albert. The following year, he purchased the existing property on the corner of 7A and Simcoe Street and continued his original practice at that address.

While retaining ownership of the property, Dr. Brown sold the practice after 23 years, however he has continued to work with other area veterinarians. Now, with the building available and totally renovated inside, he is pleased to be practicing in his original location once again.

Of historical interest is that Dr. Brown is a direct descendent (maternal) of the first veterinarian in Port Perry, Dr. George Coates, graduate of the University of Toronto!

Also joining his staff is Dr. Brown’s daughter, Emily. He is proud that she will be sharing this new venture and will be continuing the family tradition in Port Perry. Additionally, Dr. Brown will be joined at the Southside Pet Clinic by a staff of experienced and dedicated individuals who look forward to working with pet owners to maintain the health and overall well-being of their pets!
