The Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead is a National Historic Site with guides, serving lunches from 11:00 am to 3:00pm (July & August) - fresh ingredients from our own garden. Also check out the Macphail's Ecological Center and talk a walk through the woods and along the stream.
Directions: 2 km from the Trans Canada Highway at Orwell Corner entrance.
Midway between Charlottetown (28 kms) and the Northumberland Ferries terminal in Wood Islands (32 kms), turn east off the Trans Canada Highway onto MacPhail Park Road.
Follow the winding road for 2km until it becomes a small quaint country road. This tree-lined entrance brings you to the gateway on the left of the peaceful and secluded Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead.
