Sameer Kaushal is a known face in the community. Often, he can be seen volunteering at various community initiatives. Sameer immigrated to Canada in 2003 and has adopted the country and its values with open heart and mind. In India he worked with major textile brands like Duke, Indo Rama, and the Trident Group.
In Canada, he started as a cashier in Convenience Store and then as dispatcher in a trucking company in Surrey and later entered real estate industry in 2005. Being in new country and new industry did not deter Sameer from achieving his very first milestones in his career, in the year 2006 - he was awarded Rookie of the Year of Century 21 Realty. He was also recognised as Top 10% medallion member of Fraser Valley River Board (FVRB). Recently he has won many times Centurion Producer and also recognised at Century 21 International Award in a glittering gala held in Las Vegas. He is also the Master Medallion Member as he is in Medallion Club more than 5 years. On January 23, 2015 Sameer got another feather in his cap, he was elected as the councillor in Fraser Valley Real Estate Board - Commercial Division in the AGM held in Coast Hotel and Convention Centre, Langley.
When asked about secret of success, Sameer says, “I follow one simple rule, Customer satisfaction and customer care is top priority for me. I believe in transparency and act as a consultant to my clients. Customization is the key. “Never look back, no false assurance, straight forward approach are core work principles on which Sameer operates.
Sameer comes across as a very humble and simple man who has a vision to stay on top in his company and mission to work within the community. Most of his volunteering time is devoted towards arranging shelter for homeless and food for underprivileged members of the shelter for homeless and food for underprivileged members of the community. His volunteer work includes working for Surrey Food Bank, he is an active member of Realtor Blanket Drive. From year 2006 – 2010 he was also member of Association of Community Organizations for
Reform Now (ACORN). He was also associated with Red Cross in the past.
Raising a young family in a new country is a challenge, and Sameer says whatever he has achieved so far is due to the blessings of his parents, God's grace and unwavering support of his wife. His wife is also engaged in volunteer work like him. His two children currently attending high school gain inspiration from their dad and are also involved with various groups at their own level. Both his children are coaching Basketball to young kids. His elder son currently in grade 11 is also involved in the Canadian Cancer Society, leads a club at his high school, and tutors kids every week. His younger daughter a keen member of the school basketball team, and also a tutor at her previous elementary school. Giving back to community is the mantra for whole family.
His connection to India is strong as most of his family lives there, but he loves Vancouver. The weather, the work and the culture are two things that attracted him to Vancouver.
