Hi, friends and family. I am selling hand made knitted and crocheted items. Keep checking out my page to see what's new!! :)
WHO AM I?
I am a young adult who started crocheting as a child - taught by my Grandmother. The years I started high school I was beginning to get ill and didn't find out until 2 years later (a week before my 14th birthday :P) what it was from. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that was already altering my life. There is nothing I could have done to prevent it - I was born with it already in my genes. Because of often being really ill from the disease itself but also from the prescriptions to try and put it in remission - my active lifestyle with friends siblings came to a stop. My bones became so fragile that a simple fall ended with getting a cast. I could no longer play my favourite sport - soccer. So I poured all my energy into 3 things - piano, drawing and crochet. I could especially take my crochet on the long drives to and from the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) which was over an hour - if we were lucky to have no traffic.
I finished high school having won awards from several extra-curricular competitions for piano, drawing and crochet. The next year was very bad for my health. Because my health wasn't very good I could only complete 2 years of college. So instead of giving up - I focused on getting my ARCT with the Royal Conservatory of Music - yes, I am still working on it. It is taking me longer than other students and that is what brings me to selling my knitted and crocheted items. These courses that I take are expensive. I tried a part time job for a little over 1 1/2 years but because of the physical demands it was too much for my body. So again - instead of giving up my supportive family and friends suggested I sell my handiwork. I have 2 part time 'self-employments' and made goods and teaching piano.
