My role is to help women and their partners in having a positive, ideal birth experience as they define it. I believe all women deserve a doula!

I am a DONA trained doula, and am currently working towards certification.
I serve women in the Carleton County and Southern Victoria regions.
My beliefs are that all women deserve to have a positive birth experience, and that the birth should be ideal as they define it.
Woman-centered births empower women and their partners, and result in greater overall satisfaction with the entire birth experience.
My role, as a doula, is to help women and their partners to feel comfortable, informed, and cared for during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
Whether you want an unmedicated birth or a medicated birth, will be delivering vaginally, via caesarean section, or are attempting a VBAC, I can help.
We cannot control how birth happens - when it starts, how long it lasts, or those little unexpected surprises - but we can control how the laboring mother is cared for, and THAT can make all the difference.
