I arrived on Bowen Island in June of 2005. My wife Darcie and I chose Bowen Island's Island Pacific School as the best school in the lower mainland for our son Buzz to attend for Grade 8 and 9. The plan was to spend 2-years on Bowen and then return to 'civilization'. I was on-island for about 2-weeks prior to Darcie and Buzz joining me, and by the time they arrived, I knew that the only way I was leaving was feet-first.

Whether it was the warm welcome from the community, the quiet, the stars, the dark, the natural beauty, or the pace and scale of this small, caring community--or all of the above--Bowen Island is the first place I have ever truly felt 'at home'.

It was transformative. For the first time in my life I 'got involved', and the rest, as they say, is history. I served two terms as the President of the Bowen Island Chamber of Commerce, one term as a Municipal Councillor, and published a bi-weekly community newspaper. I am currently President of the Bowen Island Health Centre Foundation--which will open a health centre on Bowen in 2019--and I continue to advocate for more diversity of housing on Bowen Island.

It's not a slogan, it's a personal conviction. Bowen Island is not perfect, but it is as close to the perfect place to live as any in the world.

Since moving to Bowen Island my architectural design work has included homes in some of Bowen's most prestigious neighbourhoods (King Edward Bay, Fairweather), newest neighbourhoods (Seymour Shores), and most affordable neighbourhoods (Rivendell Drive Strata Homes).

I recently moved to Angell Hasman & Associates, Realty, Ltd., after working exclusively with Bowen Island Realty Limited, the in-house brokerage of Bowen Island Properties LP which will be celebrating 30 years of building community and neighbourhoods on Bowen Island in 2018. Over the last 2-years with Bowen Island Properties, the team sold 24 properties with a value of approximately $14 million.

My services incorporate 4-decades of experience in marketing, sales, publishing, and architectural, interior, and graphic design: a career spent interpreting my clients' wishes and needs to help them realize their goals.
