Ruby Burma is the first Burmese (Myanmar) restaurant in Montreal, serving famous traditional dishes from every corner of Burma, cooked by Burmese nationals
After settling down in Montreal, we realized that there is no Burmese restaurant in the city. We found out that Montrealers who had experienced Burmese food were looking for authentic Burmese cuisine. Why is our food is different from other Southeast Asian countries? Some of the dishes are completely unique: Tea leaf salad, Ginger salad, Shan Noodle, Kachin rice baked with herbs, meat and veges and of course, Ohn Noh Khauk Swae and Mohinga, arguably the most famous national soup dishes in Burma.
All of our dishes are prepared from scratch to make sure the food is healthy and tasty for your dining pleasure. There will be no artificial flavouring (like MSG), nor processed food coming from our kitchen. All of our sauces and condiments will be made in-house from quality natural ingredients.
In order to serve you the authentic Burmese cuisine, we import some ingredients from Burma while using fresh local products . Ruby Burma will be a BYOW restaurant, and an SAQ is just on the opposite side of the street.
Moreover, some of the best home-made juices such as freshly made Tamarind juice with palm sugar, avocado juice, fresh yogurt drink as well as a variety of unique Burmese Desserts and Gelato Ice cream will be available to help finishing your meal perfectly. Ruby Burma will be opened for lunch, dinners, with the possibility of serving Burmese breakfast in the future.
