NAE considers the unique aspect of its service to be the quality time instructors will spend with the youth to share their experiences balancing the demands of athletic and other commitments. This time focused on mentorship, video review and developing "hockey sense" is what differentiates the NAE experience from that of other hockey clinics, which are too often only focused on skill development.
Many NAE staff members have a broad range of academic and athletic backgrounds and are eager to share their knowledge. Instructors create an environment where youth feel comfortable asking questions not just about technicals of the sport, but about the experience of playing at more elite levels as well.
NAE wants to improve its participants athletic skills and create environments whereby participants finish its clinics feeling that their goals are within reach. Having a chance to hear from individuals who have been in their shoes, quite recently, and garnered success can help young athletes form a precise image of an achievable path and better understand where athletics and education fit along that journey.
NAE welcomes athletes of all skill levels to take part in its youth clinics. The goal is create an enjoyable and educational environment for boys and girls of all skills levels to make new friends, improve their fitness and learn more about the game of hockey.
