Myrtle’s Famous Hot Dogs was launched by John Meier, Jr. of Tsawwassen, British Columbia in June of 2011. The business is named in memory of John’s grandmother who brought him to Coney Island, New York for one of his first hot dogs as a child.
John spent close to a year and a half researching hotdogs. This included eating almost thirty brands of hot dogs and pouring over hundreds of hot dog recipes. The menu includes such classics as the Chicago Dog, New York Dog,
and a Chili Dog.
The philosophy of the company is simple:
Use only the best hotdogs, fresh buns and condiments
