A spectacular recreational trail follows an old railroad line from Lake Ontario north almost to Algonquin Park. The multiuse pathway runs through thick forests and past rivers and lakes, much of it wilderness. The Marmora KOA lies right alongside it, to the delight of ATV enthusiasts and cyclists. The entire region shows nature at its best, from spring blooms to fall colors. You'll find great fishing on nearby lakes and rivers, just minutes from the campground. Although near the Trans-Canada Highway, the Marmora KOA maintains a quiet countryside atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools make this an all-weather spot. The outdoor pool is open from Canada Day weekend to Labour Day weekend. In July and August, children enjoy daily hayrides and arts and crafts several days a week. Volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, basketball, mini golf and fun-bikes add to the fun. Bingo, movie nights and a variety of planned activities are offered during the summer.
