Maritime Rockweed is a new company created by Nova Scotians, for Nova Scotians. By creating opportunities for members of the rural communities in which we operate, Maritime Rockweed promotes fair paying jobs for locals by exploiting and exporting its natural resource of marine plants, mainly Ascophyllum Nodosum (Rockweed).
Maritime Rockweed has put its main focus on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia. The entire coastline of the eastern shore offers Maritime Rockweed and the people of the area new opportunities, never viewed in this way before. We offer a fresh new outlook on the business of marine sea plants and intend to work with provincial and federal levels of government to build new markets, create less waste and more value to our renewable natural resource.
