A singer/songwriter event, featuring an Original music competition, design to expose and promote the artist in a LIve setting.

Live & Original is a Town of Collingwood initiative to promote and develop the music culture in our community by bringing a focus to music through an annual festival event.

At its core, L&O is a singer/songwriter competition, but it is also so much more. Artists who participate become "Alumni" who benefit from the network of artists and music industry personnel who believe that Original music is something special - something to be celebrated.

Development and education workshops also occur during L&O, as does professional recording and high-end stage production. All of this is designed to provide opportunities and focus to performers who will move forward in their musical career.

Audiences who attend L&O are blown away by the level of talent and abundance of creativity that can be found through Original music performed Live. There are no boundaries of genre or style - at L&O, music is music and every form can be appreciated.
