Lansdowne (TTC) - 416-393-4636

Lansdowne is a subway station on the Bloor–Danforth line in Toronto, Canada. The main station entrance is located just north of Bloor Street on Lansdowne Avenue, with a secondary entrance on Emerson Avenue. Opened in 1966, the station lies approximately 561 metres (1,842 feet) from its nearest station to the west, Dundas West. The station is in the Dovercourt-Wallace Emerson-Junction neighbourhood on the edge of the Bloordale Village strip.The station is considered to require "special attention" from the Toronto Police vice squad, due to the prevalence of drug dealers, prostitutes and other offenders in the area, especially at the Coffee Time diner across the street. In one month, 94 people were charged with selling crack cocaine. Along with Lawrence West, Warden, and Kennedy Stations, the Toronto Star reported this station to be a "known problem area" in terms of crime in the subway system in 2008.
