The Lake Country Food Bank provides food assistance to low income families and children in the community. Located halfway between Kelowna and Vernon, it is the only organization that provides food assistance in this part of the Okanagan valley, and serves over 600 people each month. Approximately 6% of the population of Lake Country relies on food bank assistance - one-third are children – and food assistance is expected to be needed for 1000 people per month within the next 10 years.

WHO WE ARE:
The Lake Country Food Bank is operated by the Lake Country Food Assistance Society, a registered charity and volunteer organization that has served the community since the mid-1970s. Everyone at the Food Bank is an unpaid volunteer and virtually all funding goes directly to those in need.
