Kids Hockey Equipment Drive - 902-865-9033

Sportwheels Sports Excellence & MLA Brendan Maguire will be hosting an on-going kids hockey equipment drive, giving away gear on Sept 18th, 2016

Its that time of year again, Hockey Season is just around the corner and Young Nova Scotians across the province are lacing up their skates and hitting the ice. To suit up kids this season, MLA Brendan Maguire, Ben Jessome and Sportwheels Sports Excellence will be hosting an ongoing kids hockey equipment drive, accepting gear donations from now until September 22nd.

Much like the Sportwheels Family, Brendan & Ben have a long history of giving back to the community. Together, we want to support our youth and Give Forward. “I hope we can help more young kids get on the ice by providing them with the equipment they need to participate.” - Brendan Maguire.

Our Mission: To collect new and used hockey equipment and distribute it to those who need it.

From now until September 22nd, simply drop off new or lightly used hockey equipment at the locations listed below to help us help young Nova Scotians get in the game.

What we are looking for: New or lightly used hockey equipment including skates, pants, shin pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, sticks, hockey socks, hockey jerseys, helmets, neck guards, equipment bags, equipment drying racks and goalie equipment.
Items we can not accept: mouth guards, heavily worn or damaged equipment
