Located in the charming village of Kaslo this heritage home was originally built in 1897 and boasts all the character of the past. The doors, trim, built in cabinetry, dumb waiter and bathtub are all original. High ceilings throughout the home create an atmosphere of comfort and space. Antique furnishings and the tasteful decoration compliment the home. Recent extensive renovations have been completed without distracting from the character of the house.
Kaslo House features an adult oriented 1000 sq.ft. main floor suite that consists of an entry hall, a large dining room, a bedroom, a kitchenette, a bathroom and the parlour. The large master bedroom is furnished with an antique double bed, complete with a new latex mattress, luxurious linens and large closet space. The parlour (ie. living room), can be closed off as a second bedroom. It has a very comfortable queen size La-Z-Boy hide-a-bed. The front porch and the tree shaded patio are wonderfully relaxing outdoor spaces.
The spacious bathroom is centrally located off the dining room, between the bedroom and parlour. It is complete with a large shower stall, fluffy towels, toilet, pedestal sink and antique claw foot tub. The kitchenette has been relocated and it is equipped with a two burner cooktop, mini-fridge, sink and coffee maker, toaster, kettle, blender, basic cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, etc.
Due to heritage architectural features, Kaslo House is not suitable for small children.
