Island Vintage..."where everything old is new again"...is a unique studio where you will find treasures of the past, many of which are now re-purposed as well as unique one-of-a-kind handmade fabric and woolen items.
Island Vintage Studio is about an opportunity to experience something different. We find previously loved antiques and change them into newly loved treasures with a distressed, French Country style finish using eco-friendly products.
We also design and build what we call sophisticated rustic tables / desks ...very unique legs...and finish them with environmentally friendly paints. All of the furniture is finished with a wax and no toxic substances are used in the processes. This furniture is made completely from re-purposed barn-board and other woods.
In the studio you will find other one-of-a-kind uniquely designed and handmade home décor items such as: up-cycled sari silk and chiffon scarves, clothing items (many with antique lace), bags crafted from up-cycled (Mexican and other) fine wool ponchos and other rich textured fabrics as well as knitted items using alpaca, aran, merino and other wools, and wool blend yarns. You will also find vintage-inspired silverplated jewelry using vintage silver flatware...a very unique gift for someone you love! (or for yourself!).
