Not many people are aware this is where herring go to spawn and the bluefin tuna follow. Herring is plentiful in this area and since they are, so are the bluefin tuna. Getting fatter by the minute, the size of the tuna can get up to and over 1,200 pounds!! Local tuna fishermen do quite well during their season, rarely a boat comes in without a fish!
