The Hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls Hospital 14 bed acute care unit is equipped with state of the art equipment, thus enabling the nursing and medical staff to provide high quality care.

The mission of the Department is to provide safe, effective and efficient care that will contribute to the total care of the patient/resident and be designed to help the patient/resident regain and maintain his/her maximum degree of health upon return to his/her home environment.

To foster and encourage an atmosphere of compassion conducive to caring for both patients/residents and employees.

In addition, we are affiliated with the Ontario Telemedicine Network which provides access to medical specialists using a two-way television and medical peripheral devices.
