Horse Spirit Journeys offers Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning (FEEL) and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. Group, workshops and private sessions.
My name is Lyndsey McKeown B.S.W., M.S.W. and I am a Registered Social Worker currently working in community mental health and trauma. My passion and love is horses and I have been working towards bringing the two together doing Equine Facilitated Therapy. I am passionate about alternative-based healing and horses as healers. I wish to create a sacred space for heart centered and soul led connections with horses. I have seen and experienced the teachings and transformations horses can offer and hope to share this with you for your healing journey.
Through horse-based exercises even as basic as observing and being present with horses, they can teach us how to stay in the present moment, live from our heart and less in our head, increase mindfulness and self-awareness and recognize our emotions and their important messages just to name a few.
**Please note that horse experience is not necessary, all horse activities will be done on the ground.
