9th Annual Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival. June 9-13, 2015. Showcasing the best independent films from Atlantic Canada and beyond.

The Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival (HIFF) provides a unique venue for filmmakers and media artists to share their art in a forum dedicated to the celebration of independent cinema. Since its inception, HIFF has showcased the Atlantic region’s most innovative works alongside the films of acclaimed visiting artists like Denis Côté, Paul Clipson, Janie Geiser, and Phil Hoffman. The 8th Annual HIFF will take place in June 2014.

HIFF is a presentation of the Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative. It is made possible with the generous support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, Canada Council for the Arts, Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, Telefilm Canada, and The Coast.
