Geoff Hoar has a proven track record professionally training horses to compete and win in cutting, cowhorse and roping events, as well as starting colts.

Being able to train a wide variety of disciplines allows him to find and maximize each individual horse’s potential. Versatility makes Geoff a unique trainer, but solid horsemanship is the backbone of his training program - the numerous championships and reserve titles Geoff has been awarded in snaffle bit, hackamore and bridle competitions attest to this.

If you would like to improve your own skills in cutting, cowhorse, fencework, roping, or basic riding and horsemanship, Geoff offers both clinics and private lessons at his San Emideo Ranch outside Innisfail, Alberta. San Emideo is a full-scale training facility with both indoor and outdoor arenas, indoor and outdoor stalls as well as individual steel turn out pens. There is always a fresh supply of cattle from his grasser business for training and lessons, as well as a mechanical cow, Heel-o-matic, and roping steers.

An NRCHA accredited judge, Geoff evaluates cow horse shows across Canada and the United States.

SAN EMIDEO FACILITY:
* The indoor arena is 80’ x 120’ with washed sand footing.
* The indoor heated barn is 36’ x 80’ with wood floor stalls.
* The cutting pen is 125’ x 125’ with washed sand footing.
* The roping/cowhorse arena is 150’ x 300’ with washed sand footing.
Directions: 5 miles east of Innisfail on highway 590 to highway 791. Turn south and go 4 miles to TWP road 35-0. Turn east and go 2 ¾ miles. South hand side of road.
