Foremost Municipal Library - 403-867-3855

The Foremost Municipal Library opened in June, 1987 to serve the Village of Foremost and the surrounding area in the County of Forty Mile.

The Foremost Municipal Library is a member of the Shortgrass Regional Library System. This allows members access to borrowing privileges in all of the member libraries: Bassano, Bow Island, Brooks, Foremost, Medicine Hat , Rainier, Ralston, Redcliff, Rolling Hills, Rosemary, Tilley.

Books in various languages may be borrowed through the library. Ask for information if you are interested.

Interlibrary Loans
- within system - weekly courier delivery of requests
- titles not in the system may be requested

Use our computer for your word processing and print projects.

Summer Reading Program
- during July and August
- reading game, story times, contests, fun and prizes

Movies
- Blu-ray, DVD, & VHS
- many titles available for children and adults

Audiobooks
- over 150 in the collection
- A wide variety is available for physically or visually handicapped patrons. Ask the librarian for information.

Free Internet access
- public internet computers available

Pre-school Story times
- each Friday from October to May at 10:45am
- 45-60 minutes of stories, songs, fingerplays, crafts, etc.

Loan Periods
Books, magazines, audiobooks - 3 weeks
Movies - 1 week
Overdue charges will apply after these loan periods.
