Flying Cross Ranch is centrally located in Lacombe, Alberta, just outside of Red Deer.



We have programs for all ages and experiences, with lessons in a variety of disciplines. Roy Sturgeon has over three decades of experience to share with his students and has been very successful in many aspects of the horse industry. He was a professional jockey for 12 years, traveled on the rodeo circuit team roping, Has shown and jumped & started and trained thousands of horses. He loves sharing his knowledge with others.



Flying Cross Ranch has a variety of breeds of horses and has ones suitable for all levels of riders. We provide instruction in English and Western riding. We have programs from beginner to advanced as well as adult programs. If you would like to take lessons on your own horse, we have boarding as well as training services available.
