Doug was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and became a professional Realtor in 1987, until moving to Victoria, British Columbia and becoming a Realtor there in 1993. He has built and acted as general contractor on several residences, and has been involved in numerous renovation projects, lot sub-divisions, re-zoning properties, and exclusive agent on a luxury condominium project. Doug is an avid magician, member and past president of The Victoria Magic Club, Winnipeg Magic Circle, and 30 year member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He enjoys music, concerts, guitar, (especially the Blues), travel, and cooking for family and friends.
