Small hobby farm
After years of wanting to get into hobby-farming, we found this awesome 1.5-acre property on Highway 93 in Wyebridge, Ontario.
The name Crossroads Farms signifies our feeling that buying this property is a turning point in our journey toward our dreams. The location is also at or near the intersections of several geographical boundaries, including those of the townships of Tay, Tiny, and Springwater, and the towns of Midland, Wyebridge, Waverley, and Elmvale.
We currently have a small flock of chickens, and are producing only eggs for the time being. Future plans include more hens, possibly some meat birds, possibly pigs, possibly bees, goats, alpacas, and a donkey. We also plan to make use of the 19(!) rasied-bed gardens, and will be planting garlic, herbs, lettuces, tomatoes, and other food.
Thank you for your interest in our little enterprise! We welcome help and advice from others on similar journeys.
