Craftworks is a unique shopping destination in the Kawarthas. With crafts, mennonite furniture, antiques, home decor and gifts, local foods and a year round Christmas store, it is sure to have something for everyone!
Craftworks is a locally owned and operated Peterborough and Kawartha's business. The store was opened in 1997 by Debbie and Darrell Junkin in downtown Peterborough on the corner of Sherbrooke and Water street. It was always their hope to start a small business in the community where their roots were. They opened the store with the intent to showcase local talent and provide a unique shopping experience to its visitors.
In 2009, Craftworks moved to its new location at the Barn near Fowler's Corners. The business has flourished and expanded to include furniture, home décor, along with a large number of crafters and antique vendors filling the aisles of the store with unique gifts and treasures. The store also sells a range of food stuffs such as Empire cheese, local maple syrup, local meat products, Mennonite fruit and meat pies, and a large assortment of new, classic, and home-made candies.
Craftworks is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce and Retail Council of Canada, as well as a supporter of The Arthritis Society, The Peterborough Kinsmen Club, Cystic Fibrosis, The United Way, Kawartha Choice and many more.
Today, Craftworks is expanding rapidly to include their new website for online sales, a wide line of apparel options, and a revamped Seasonal store which features Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream and other milk products!
