CosMic Plants is the largest Canadian grower specialized in quality potted Phalaenopsis Orchids, for the sophisticated floral retail industry. Various types and colours are produced in 3 different pot-sizes: 2½”, 3½” and 5” (6cm, 9cm and 12cm).

CosMic Plants, established in 2004, is a wholesale grower, owning and operating 2 greenhouse locations in Beamsville, Ontario, Canada (with a total surface of 330.000 square feet).

It's operated by a team of valuable employees together with owners Neil and Mike van Steekelenburg. The name CosMic originates from the brothers names Cornelis (Neil) and Michael (Mike).

CosMic Plants grows its’ Orchids in the most modern and efficient facilities, but with a priority on quality above cost-price.

Our Orchids are produced with a longer growth cycle. We apply more space and light than most other Orchid producers do. This results in more blooms per plant, stronger root systems, more vigorous plants and a longer shelve life! For the retailer this means less shrinkage, faster sell through and a higher margin per square foot of store space.

Our dedicated staff puts attention to every detail: from the neatness in how the plants are supported with the support sticks, to the consistency in grading; from the care in packaging, to our temperature controlled transport; everything is about quality.

We produce our Orchids responsibly and sustainably, with biological crop protection methods, with recycling systems for our irrigation water, with solar electricity production and with a relative proximity to our main markets!
