While you may know that CLD (a non-profit agency supporting people who have developmental disabilities) seeks the support of our community to help us to provide life enriching programs did you know that we also give back to our community in many different ways?

Utilizing our talents we offer assistance to other non-profits in our community.
 Our Click Connect Photographers have donated framed prints for silent auctions/raffles.
 Our Creative Hands clay artisans have donated clay pieces for silent auctions/raffles.
 The CLD cooking group make and donate food to The Lighthouse lunch program.
 Our CLD baking group create scrumptious trays of sweets which they donate annually to Theatre Orangeville for their Victorian Christmas silent auction tables.
 People we support provide volunteer assistance to places like the Dufferin County Museum, the Orangeville SPCA and Parson’s Florist.
 Each February for Valentine’s Day, we host an internal fundraiser for staff and people supported. The funds raised are donated to a different local non-profit. Some agencies that have benefitted are: The Lighthouse, Alzheimer’s Society, Food Bank, and Headwaters Hospital to name a few.
 Each fall we participate in the Alzheimer’s Society Coffee Break. In addition to serving coffee and our home baked sweets we hold a live auction of eclectic items made by our CLD artisans.
 We have made available our property on County Road 3 to the Special Olympics for a motorcycle rally in partnership with the OPP.
 Our annual Christmas Craft Sale provides a venue for 23 local artisans/businesses to sell their wares each December.

These are but a few of the ways we at Community Living Dufferin give back.
Through our community partnerships we are promoting equal opportunity and respect and creating a culture of learning for those we support, our staff and our fellow citizens.
