The Cochrane Eagle is a weekly publication based in Cochrane, AB and a member of Great West Newspapers. We are dedicated to local coverage, local representation, strong photography and our role in the community.
The Cochrane Eagle is a weekly newspaper based in the rapidly growing community of Cochrane, Alta., located approximately 25 minutes west of Calgary in the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains.
Since 2001, the Eagle (part of the Great West Newspaper family since 2012) has covered the town of Cochrane. We reach the rural areas west of Calgary from Bragg Creek in the south, to Cremona in the north, and to the Stoney Nakoda First Nation in the west. We emphasize strong photography and local content. The paper comes out every Wednesday, and we are currently distributing 12,540 newspapers through Distribution Technicians (carriers) within Cochrane, with drops at numerous businesses and through Canada Post.
