CHALK RIVER & AREA LIONS CLUB
“”WE SERVE””

Since 1973, the Chalk River & Area Lions Club has provided support to our surrounding community and served the charitable needs for this area.

We are a volunteer organization that depends on the abilities of individuals living in our community to accomplish our goals. We share a common spirit. Since the beginning of Lions in 1917, we have been united in a single cause: “helping those less fortunate”.

We support the surrounding area from Chalk River to Deux Riveries, including Rapides de Swisha.

We hold weekly bingo’s each Thursday, except for July and August. We also host Children’s Halloween and Christmas Dances, host our annual Winter Carnival each February. In April we hold Maplefest at the Forestry Sugarbush which is a very popular event.

We sponsor a bursary each year for a graduating student at Mackenzie High School in the amount of $500.

The club gathers eyeglasses in the community for the Recycle For Sight program, which is a very worthwhile endeavor. Locally we support the youth and programs associated with the youth, as well as supporting the seniors in our community.

We are constantly seeking new members to join us in meeting the needs of our growing community.
