The Central Food Network organization oversees the Highlands East Food Hub (formerly Wilberforce Food Bank) and the Cardiff Food Bank operations.

Our mission:
•To act as a front-line agency assisting those struggling to make ends meet.
•To act as a food hub and work cooperatively with other agencies that assist people in need throughout the County of Haliburton
•To work with our partner food banks/agencies to develop effective acquisition and distribution of food to people in need in Highlands East and within Haliburton County.
•To develop fundraising programs/events that will support our member food banks, programs and the equitable distribution of food throughout Haliburton County.
•To share food surpluses cooperatively throughout the County.
•To form a united voice regarding issues of poverty from a food bank and partners perspective and to voice those concerns to our local and provincial governments, communities and media.
•To liaise with other provincial or regional food banks in Ontario
•To continue to educate the public, governments and other sectors of society about the problems of hunger and poverty in Highlands East and Haliburton County.
•To collect and maintain statistics on the extent of the problem of hunger at the local level. To make these statistics available to the Ontario Association of Food Banks.
•To network and partner with other Haliburton County groups in developing solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty in the County.
