Get trained for entry level position in the Adventure Tourism Industry in Canada and around the World...

Tourism is the fastest growing industry in British Columbia. According to www.go2hr.ca, British Columbia will need 84,000 new tourism workers over the next decade, with 13,000 in adventure tourism.

At the Canadian Wilderness Tourism Training Center (Chilcotin Holidays), we aim to provide individuals interested in horses, nature and tourism with the right foundations for entry level positions in the adventure tourism industry. For over two decades, we have been training individuals of all ages and all backgrounds.

Our courses are short but intense and our students get to learn a wide range of skills and knowledge in a short period of time. Our courses can be taken separately or in various combinations which allows for customization with respect to the student's experience, schedule, financial situation and personal interests.

We have a unique environment to train individuals to the best of their abilities. The ranch is located in the remote wilderness of the South Chilcotin Mountains, a region with a rich goldrush history and host to a great diversity of wildlife. The many trails established by pioneers and miners in the 19th century allow us to go deep into territory and camp out in our 25 mountain camps.

Our 5000 km2 operating territory is our campus where students can learn and practice their newly acquired skills and get hands-on experience in the field. Students are constantly put in real-life situations which help them develop their ability to cope with difficulties when they are in the wilderness.

Our highly qualified guide instructors, with many years of experience working with horses and in the wilderness, are all eager to pass on their knowledge and supervise the students during the entire duration of their time with us at the ranch.

All our training programs are registered with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) and are well recognized in the industry.

Many students that took our schools are now employed in the adventure tourism industry in British Columbia and other provinces.
