Camrose United Church - 780.672.2176

Seeking to become a safe community where none feel alone and all may feel at home.

A congregation of The United Church of Canada, we gather in a variety of formal and informal small groups during the week. Many of us also gather at 10 am on Sunday mornings for worship that blends "traditional" and contemporary modes of worship. There are activities, too, for youth and for young children. During the week, worship continues as many of us participate in community and social action organizations, host a Martha's Table (for anyone looking for community and a warm meal), provide coffee and lunches to those who celebrate the lives of a lost loved one, and serve in many other ways. Our staff include Darry Dewalt (Music Minister who also leads a Choir, a vocal Ensemble, and "EmBellish" -- a handbell choir), Bonnie Smith (our office manager), Jack Kamphorst (our Wecolming-Greeter-Extraordinaire and our Facilities Manager), Liz Carter-Morgan and Alan Richards (ministers). Are you looking for a safe space in which to celebrate and share God's transforming love, or a space in which to rest and renew yourself? We invite you to engage with us as we nurture one another's spirituality, build our family ministries, and strengthen our care and outreach into the community. Founded by the union of the Camrose Methodist and Presbyterian Churches in June 1925, the new congregation quickly built a new worship building which continues to be in use. A new wing was added in 1959, housing a C.E. Hall, offices, and a sunlit "parlour."
