The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa (BGCO) has served the Ottawa community since 1923, reaching out to approximately 4,500 children and youth each year through after‐school, weekend and summer programs. The mission of the BGCO is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills of life. We operate under four pillars of programming: Education, Creative Arts, Leadership and Social Skills and Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyle. The BGCO operates in 7 locations across the city plus a summer camp, and provides barrier-free access to all Members, aged 6 to 18. Membership is free.
