Ayr Handmade is a locally organized initiative promoting creativity, a vibrant culture and socially responsible economic development through the handmade arts. We believe that access to the arts can create happier, healthier, more prosperous communities, and it’s our mission to bring those benefits home.
Our first event is the 2015 Ayr Handmade Holiday Show & Sale in November where we will be bringing together the best of local makers, artisans and designers to put on a truly impressive show and shopping experience for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to inspire, awe and wow you with intriguing, trendy, locally handmade, homemade, finely crafted products.
Each maker who participates in Ayr Handmade is carefully selected, with preference given to those with exceptional talent who create well designed, finely crafted handmade products. We also look for those who show strong potential to have a positive influence on the Village of Ayr and neighbouring communities - socially, environmentally and economically.
