A soical organization started with the support of few families living in Alberta, who had migrated from Assam, India

Assam Association of Alberta is a social organization dedicated to promoting Assamese culture, language, music, drama, arts and literature. It also encourages and supports co-operation, goodwill and well being of all people and community. This non-profit organization is involved with programs and services typically for education, social causes, arts and others that benefit the assamese community in Alberta.

Our long term goal is to have a facility of our own where we will be able to nurture our socio cultural heritage and elevate our society to a level which will be well recognized among the other organizations in Alberta and Canada as a whole. This will be the epicenter for the children and youth and future generations of the organization to keep themselves in touch with their cultural heritage
